22 cars entered for TCR Europe opener in Portugal
22 cars have been entered for the 2025 TCR Europe season opener at Autódromo de Algarve in Portugal this weekend.
Reigning champion team ALM Motorsport has entered two Hondas for Ruben Volt, who finished fourth overall in 2024, and Levente Losonczy.
MM Motorsport is also fielding two Hondas this season for former FIA TCR World Tour driver Marco Butti and Giacomo Ghermandi.
Monlau Motorsport, that claimed the drivers’ title with Franco Girolami last year, is the sole Cupra team on the grid, fielding two Leon VZs for Eric Gené and Jenson Brickley.
French team JSB Compétition is back in the championship, fielding a pair of Hyundai Elantras for Julien Briché and Jean-Laurent Navarro.
Another French team on the grid is Team Clairet Sport with brothers Teddy and Jimmy Clairet, driving full-time in the series for the first time since 2021.
The sole Lynk & Co 03 TCR of the series is once again driven by Viktor Andersson with the family-run Swedish team MA:GP.
Other notable entries include reigning TCR Italy champion Nicolas Taylor (Audi), TCR Asia race winner Max Hart (Hyundai) and the Korean Hyundai duo of Junui and Junesung Park.
The season is kicked off with qualifying at 09:25 local time/10:25 CEST on Saturday, followed by the first race at 13:45 CEST and Race 2 at 12:50 CEST on Sunday.
