Newsham stripped of TCR UK race one win at Donington Park
Callum Newsham has been stripped of victory in the opening TCR UK race of the Donington Park weekend, after failing post-race scrutineering.
The JH Racing Hyundai Elantra N TCR driver had taken a comfortable victory, his fourth of the season, and the lead in the drivers’ standings, as main title rival Max Hart toiled to sixth.
However, Newsham has since lost the points scored and moved to the back of the classification.
It means that 2025 TCR UK champion Adam Shepherd inherits race one victory, with Jenson O’Neill-Going second ahead of Maximus Hall.
For his part, Hart moves up to fifth in the race one result, and will start from the same position in race two.
