Carl Boardley confirms TCR UK exit

Carl Boardley has confirmed that he will not take part in any further TCR UK races this year due to “low car numbers and a lack of enjoyment”.

“Not posted for a while, partly through choice and work commitments have been immense, having left TCR UK a few weeks back due to low car numbers and a lack of enjoyment, something incoming that I am certainly excited about,” the Honda driver wrote.

The double champion made his return to TCR UK this year with DTR Honda, having last raced in the 2024 season of the championship.

Boardley missed the previous round at Donington Park and is placed eighth overall, having claimed three podium finishes.

The Brit is yet to confirm his plans for the remaining part of the 2026 season, but is rumoured to join another TCR series instead.

The TCR UK field has averaged 13 cars for the first five race weekends of 2026, with the most recent round at Donington Park attracting ten cars.
