Vannin Motorsport to run third car for Donington Park return

Vannin Motorsport has announced that it will expand to run three cars when the TCR UK series returns to Donington Park this weekend.

Although the Audi squad started the season running two cars for Jenson Mason and Barry-John McHenry, it was forced to revert to a single car programme following the departure of Mason after round one.

After Alistair Kellett then stepped in to replace the absent McHenry at Croft, the Irish racer ran alone at Snetterton before the return of Adam Shepherd on the Donington Park National layout saw the team once again introduce a second car.

On his first TCR UK outing of the season, the defending champion scored a win in race one and bagged three podium finishes.

Shepherd will return for a second outing this weekend on the full Donington Park GP layout alongside McHenry, with the team having built up a third car over the course of the past ten days to allow Luke Sargeant to return to the series.

Sargeant has competed in TCR Spain this season and also competed in the TCR World Tour event in Valencia with a best result of 15th.
