Adam Shepherd bags pole for TCR UK return
Adam Shepherd emerged on top of the times to grab pole position ahead of the latest rounds of the TCR UK season at Donington Park.
The reigning champion rejoins the grid this weekend during a break in his TCR Europe programme and managed to edge out Callum Newsham to lead the way at the wheel of his Audi RS3 LMS, being run by Vannin Motorsport this weekend.
Newsham would end up just 0.007s behind at the wheel of his Hyundai Elantra, with third going the way of Harry Bloor as he impressed in his Honda Civic to head the second row of the grid.
Max Hart slotted into fourth from Carl Boardley, with the top six being completed by Max Hall. Brad Hutchison took seventh with points leader Jenson O’Neill-Going back in eighth, although the teenager completed fewer laps than the remainder of the field as he ended up a second off the pace.
Rod McGovern and Rick Kerry completed the top ten.
All three races at Donington Park are scheduled for Sunday, with the first due to get underway at 9:15.
