Lo Sze Ho breaks Lynk & Co dominance with Shanghai double
Lo Sze Ho claimed a double TCR China victory at Shanghai International Circuit, ending Lynk & Co’s unbeaten start to the 2026 season.
The Evolve Racing Hyundai Elantra N driver won both races of the fourth round after Sun Yu Ran claimed his maiden pole position ahead of Lo.
Sun stalled his Honda Civic FL5 at the start of Race 1, allowing Lo to take the lead ahead of Zhou Yun Jie and Richard Li Guang Hua.
A safety car was called on lap two before Lo pulled clear at the restart, while Zhou dropped down the order.
A second safety car erased Lo’s five-second advantage late in the race, but he held on to win by 0.905 seconds over Li, with Sunny Wong Yat Shing third.
Jason Zhang Zhi Qiang started the reversed-grid second race from pole and initially led David Zhu Dai Wei.
William Cheung Wang Chi and Lo worked their way towards the leading pair before another safety car period.
Cheung and Lo passed Zhang and Zhu after the restart, before Lo overtook Cheung on lap ten to take the lead.
Lo remained ahead to complete the double, finishing 3.804 seconds clear of Cheung’s Team TRC Honda.
Li took his second podium of the weekend in third after passing Liu Hong Zhi on the final lap, while Wong finished fourth.
The Lynk & Co Teamwork drivers struggled in the closing stages, with Zhu finishing eighth and Zhang tenth.
Zhu retains the championship lead on 4195 points, 630 ahead of Wong, with Zhang third on 3200.
TCR China continues at Chengdu on October 16-18.
