Grid penalties for Santiago Urrutia and Ma Qing Hua

FIA TCR World Tour points leader Santiago Urrutia and his Geely Cyan Racing team-mate Ma Qing Hua have been hit with grid penalties for the first race of the weekend at Inje Speedium due to engine changes.

Urrutia failed to take part in the first free practice session of the weekend as the team found an engine issue and started work on replacing the engine.

Ma was able to set the tenth fastest lap time of the first free practice session before he came to a halt and was forced to change his engine as well.

Urrutia was back for the second free practice session to set the eighth fastest time, 1.6 seconds from Mikel Azcona’s top time.

The penalties means that both drivers will drop 12 places on the grid for Race 1 at Inje Speedium.
