Michael Caine joins Motorbase at Croft
Michael Caine has joined Motorbase Performance for the British Touring Car Championship rounds at Croft this weekend.
“I’m really looking forward to being able to support the team once again, and hopefully we get the results that they deserve this weekend,” said Caine.
Caine is going to drive a third NGTC specification Ford Focus and team manager David Bartrum is happy to have him back in the team.
“It’s great to get the opportunity to race the third Motorbase NGTC and we’re really looking forward to seeing what Michael can do in the Focus this weekend; especially coming off the back of such a great weekend with our first GT race win,” said Bartrum.
The 43-year-old is currently racing in the British GT Championship for Motorbase and Caine made his BTCC debut two years ago with the team.
“I absolutely loved it the last time out – so if this weekend can be as good as that, then brilliant. I’d like to say a massive thanks to Autoglym and everybody else that has been involved and helped to make this happen,” said Caine.
Caine tested the Focus at Snetterton earlier this month, a test successfully completed according to the team.
