Max Buxton to miss Saturday track action at Oulton Park

Max Buxton will not take part in today’s British Touring Car Championship track action due to illness.

The Speedworks Corolla Racing driver is said to be suffering from a viral infection, ruling him out of being able to participate in Free Practice, Qualifying and this afternoon’s Qualifying Race.

“Unfortunately Max Buxton will miss today’s qualifying day due to a viral infection,” read a team statement. “Doctors are hopeful he will be cleared to race tomorrow. Further updates will follow.

“Max and the team are absolutely gutted but hopefully we will be back fighting fit in the morning.”
