Müller could quit BTCC
BTCC racer Yvan Müller states in Autosport that he could leave the series due to the current driving standard. A series of unpunished incidents during the latest season of BTCC have made the Frenchman to require radical changes from the BTCC officials. “If I´m not happy I will not stay,” Müller said to Autosport.
“I hope this year will be a bit different from last year. I hope some contact will be banned more than it was in 2004. If it is not, then I will leave next year. We are all hard drivers; we all do some things and sometimes push the limit. Some guys always push guys on prupose. We know the names of these guys, and I think these guys should get banned more often for doing that. I hope the people in charge will be stronger on this issue, because this is the BTCC, not stock cars.”
For this year the officials have decided to increase the number of incar cameras. This is supposed to give them a better view of race incidents and prevent illegal manouvers.
