Colin Turkington means bussiness
Colin Turkington from Northern Ireland has set the pace in the second practice session at Silverstone. Being almost two tenths of a second faster than the second placed man, Tom Chilton, Turkington shows he has not yet surrendered and will give Matt Neal a run for the title.
Matt Neal, on top in the championship with a big margin, was over three tenths of a second slower than Turkington, only giving him fifth spot. Second placed man in the championship, Jason Plato, only drove four laps in which he didn’t set a competitive time.
Fabrizio Giovanardi, fastest man in the morning session, did a good job in the second practice again. The Italian set the third fastest time. He was just as fast as Gareth Howell in fourth, but set his time at an earlier stage.
Seat’s James Thompson and Darren Turner came home in sixth and seventh. Adam Jones, driving a Lexus, crashed heavily and could not finish the session.

The qualifying for the last round of the 2006 championship will be held this afternoon at 16.30 CET.
