Diesel BMW 1-series to BTCC

Rick Kerry will run a pair of diesel BMW 1-series in the British Touring Car Championship next season. The cars will be in S2000 specifications and work has already begun. West Suffolk Racing is leading the construction of the cars. The cars will be similar to the 1-series run in the German VLN-series.

The team has not decided yet if there will be two cars on the grid. Testing of the car(s) will start by the end of January. Kerry has been driving the Kumho BMW series since 2003 and will make his BTCC debut in 2007.
