Gordon Shedden takes Croft pole

Scottish driver Gordon Shedden has qualified on pole position for tomorrow’s (Sunday) Dunlop British Touring Car Championship starting grid at the Croft circuit in North Yorkshire. Shedden, driving a Team Halfords Honda Civic, set pole in a time of 1m26.243s.

That was just 0.050s faster than Colin Turkington, who was second in his Team RAC BMW in a time of 1m26.293s. Third in his SEAT Leon was Darren Turner with a best time of 1m26.332s.

Series leader, SEAT’s Jason Plato, was eighth and behind his closest championship challenger, Vauxhall’s Italian driver Fabrizio Giovanardi who will line up on the grid in fifth.
