Donington Race 3: Second win for Plato

Jason Plato has won the third of today’s three Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship rounds at the Donington Park circuit in Leicestershire. Plato started only ninth, but quickly cut his way through to pass Mike Jordan for the lead. Jordan briefly regained the lead but Plato came back again to secure his second victory of the day.

As a result, SEAT driver Plato has significantly increased his lead in the championship to 25 points ahead of Vauxhall rival Fabrizio Giovanardi who finished outside the points after sliding off the wet track.

Finishing second was reigning champion Matt Neal who set the race’s fastest lap in his Team Halfords Honda Civic. Jordan finished third in his Eurotech team’s Honda Integra.
