Dynamics/Halfords continue depsite Neal loss

Team Dynamics will continue to run a two-car squad with Halfords title sponsorship in 2008’s Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship despite its lead driver Matt Neal’s decision to join newly-crowned champion Vauxhall’s VX Racing squad for next season.

Dynamics tonight confirmed that Scottish ace Gordon Shedden, who has won eight times for it in the past two seasons, will remain on board with his team-mate still to be announced.

Dynamics’ Team Principal Steve Neal commented: “We all wish Matt the best of luck and almost every success as we shall be competing against him in the Teams’ and Drivers’ championships next year!

“Team Halfords’ momentum is looking really good with the first year of the Honda Civic under our belts and some great results which we intend to build on. Gordon Shedden has had a great season and developed enormously as a driver so we expect him to be right up front and vying for the Drivers’ Championship in 2008.”

Halfords’ Chief Executive Ian McCleod added: “We are very pleased to confirm the renewal of our sponsorship for 2008 so early which will give the team continuity and confidence going forward with its planning and development. Matt has been a great ambassador for Halfords and we wish him well for the future.”
