Rob Collard set to return to the BTCC

Rob Collard is reported to be returning to the British Touring Car Championship in 2008. The previous independents champion made a one-off outing with GR Asia at the BTCC finale at Thruxton. During the 2007 season Collard took part in selected Carrera Cup UK races but looks set for a full time BTCC drive next year.

“BTCC is the only place to be and I have had some serious discussions with some backers. It is looking promising,” said Collard to Motorsport News.

According to our sources Collard will most likely drive a GR Asia SEAT Léon in the British Touring Car Championship 2008.
