Team Dynamics aiming high for 2008
Despite that the son Matt Neal has left the Team Dynamics run by Steve Neal – the team is aiming high for 2008. An intense program is planned for the winter that could make the cars half a second per lap faster according to Neal.
“We’ve got a major programme of development and performance enhancement set aside with the Civic. I’d predict that the thick end of half a second quicker around the Donington Park National circuit, for example, is possible,” said Neal to BTCC.net
“This year, we’ve been running an aero kit that was very much cobbled together at the season’s beginning. Now we’ll be working very closely on the aerodynamic side of things with our technical partner MIRA. There’s also a fair bit more to come from the engine from our engine partner Neil Brown.
“Yes, our 2007 cars are up for sale. If we sell them, that will generate revenue for our 2008 programme; if not, then we’ll continue with those cars. We wouldn’t be altering the shells…
“We’ve also got quite a bit of damper and differential testing to do, but that probably won’t begin until around February when we’ve got all the latest bits on the car and we can begin serious testing for the new season.”
