Giovanardi – “The SEAT’s can be beaten”

While Team RAC-boss Dick Bennetts say that they have no chance against the SEAT’s – Vauxhall-driver Fabrizio Giovanardi insists that they can be beaten.
“I’m really not scared about SEAT and I hope to be in a situation to control things. I have no reason to fight with Jason (Plato). It’s not the same situation as last year when we were fighting for the championship. This time he is quite a long way behind me,” said Giovanardi to BTCC.net.

“They will be strong, but I think we have a strong car here as well. I’m really confident… really confident.”

Giovanardi currently leads the championship with 23 points ahead of his team mate Matt Neal.

“I’m not really in control of it yet. I mustn’t get too relaxed. But Matt is in the same car so I just need to be calm and mustn’t start panicking if I see Matt or Jason in front. There are still a lot of points that can be earned or lost.”
