Darren Turner fastest at drying Knockhill

The first practice session at Knockhill for the British Touring Car Championship cars started wet and all cars were on wet tyres. But as the session progressed, the track got dryer and dryer. SEAT-team mates Darren Turner and Jason Plato made the most of the drying conditions and topped the time sheets.

As the track dried up the times tumbled. Vauxhall-man Tom Onslow-Cole seemed at first to be the fastest of the cars with slicks, but was passed during the last minutes by the two SEAT’s.

Onslow-Cole had to settle for third ahead of Colin Turkington, BMW and championship leader Fabrizio Giovanardi, Vauxhall.
