Neal fastest in 1st practise, Plato takes 2nd
Matt Neal has set the best time in the first timed session of today at Silverstone. Jason Plato took the fastest time in the second session. But there was drama for Neal in the first session. He suffered a engine failure. However, his team managed to get Neal’s car ready for the second session, in which he was 7th fastest.
There were problems for SEAT again as well. Darren Turner had to stop his car in the first session with a turbo oil leak. His team managed to solve the problem in time as well, as he set second fastest time behind his team mate in the second session.
Jason Plato’s big opponent in the championship, Fabrizio Giovanardi, who is currently leading the standings table by a comfortable margin, was close to the SEAT driver during the first practise session. In practise one the Italian was third quickest, in the second session he was in P6.
