Mat Jackson takes final win of the day

Mat Jackson won the last race of the day at Silverstone, after storming through the field from 13th place on the grid. Untill nine laps from the end it was Jason Plato who was on his way to victory, but with a beautifull overtaking manouvre round the outside of the wet Becketts Jackson took over the lead.

The third race was another wet race. Tom Onslow-Cole led the race at the start ahead of Gordon Shedden, but both were overtaken by Jason Plato on lap on lap 4 and 7.

A couple of laps later there were five cars battling for second place. Onslow-Cole, Colin Turkington, Adam Jones, Fabrizio Giovanardi and Mat Jackson fought over the runner up spot. When Onslow-Cole and Turkington made contact at Luffield, and Turkington was spun round, Jackson took the opportunity to take second and started hunting down Jason Plato.

After Plato was overtaken by Jackson, he dropped back down the field. It handed second place to Adam Jones from Giovanardi in third. Colin Turkington finished in fourth, Jason Plato in fifth.
