Jordan to drive Vauxhall Vectra in 2009

19-year-old Andrew Jordan will drive a Vauxhall Vectra in the British Touring Car Championship next year. Team Eurotech are reported to run the car for Jordan in the Independents Trophy.
“This is an unbelievable opportunity. The chance to drive the best Super 2000 car in the BTCC is an awesome opportunity for me and I certainly intend to make the absolute most out of it,” said Jordan.

The team has bought the car from Tripple Eight, a team that will give Jordan assistance in the fight for the Independents title.

“It’s great that a young upcoming driver like Andrew has decided on the Vauxhall Vectra for the next stage of his career, and Triple Eight will be giving him as much assistance as we can within the framework of the Independents’ Trophy regulations,” said Ian Harrison from Tripple Eight.

While Andrew Jordan continues next year, his father Mike Jordan will not be back. He will instead focus on the managing of the program.
