Pinkney tests ahead of new season

Veteran racer David Pinkney has been testing a Team Dynamics Honda Civic at Donington Park ahead of his return to the HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship.
Steve Neal was reportedy impressed with Pinkney as he got to grips with the car and put in respectable time of 1min 14.6 around the National circuit on a drying track in a brand new car.

The test for Pinkney started in damp and blustery conditions at the Derbyshire track.

The brand new car got the thumbs-up from the veteran driver who said that the car was ‘well balanced’ and ‘a much better car’ compared his older Intergra that he ran in the BTCC during 2006 where he managed to get onto the podium at Knockhill with a third place finish.

Pinkney intially venturing onto the track on wets changing to slicks later in the morning. The planned afternoon session was cut short when another car dropped oil around the track.

Team Dynamic boss Steve Neal was surpisingly impressed with Pinkney, not expecting him to get below 1min 15s.

TouringCarTimes has been told this is not a one-off drive and at the moment, David Pinkney is the only driver that has been connected with Team Dynamics 2009 BTCC campaign.
