No Chevrolets for Robertshaw in 2009

The Chevrolet-team Robertshaw Racing will not run any Chevolet Lacettis in the British Touring Car Championship 2009 after parting ways with driver Harry Vaulkhard.
“We won’t be running the Lacettis next season. At the end of the day we just couldn’t have another season scrimping for every penny like we did this year,” said team boss Joe Bradley to autosport.com.

“We’ve come to an amicable arrangement with the Vaulkhards to go our separate ways.”

According to Autosport Vaulkhard is looking for other teams to run the Lacettis next year.

Robertshaw Racing will most likely not be in the BTCC next year, but there is a chance they could run Alan Taylor’s Honda Integra.

“I don’t think Alan will be back. I think the BTCC was something he desperately wanted to do, but now it’s done I think that will be it. Having said that though, it wouldn’t surprise me if he called us in February and said: ‘Right guys, I’m bored with the off-season, let’s go racing’,” said Bradley.
