Just like last year, Fabrizio Giovanardi has been elected the best overall driver in the British Touring Car Championship. Eventhough he has received less votes than last year (when he received 59% of the votes), he has won this year with a large gap.
The position of Steven Kane is remarkable. Eventhough he finished in 11th in the championship, the readers of TouringCarTimes were very impressed with his performance this year and rewarded him with third place in this election.

Best team 2008 – BTCC
It’s not a surprise that VX Racing wins this years teams election, just like they did last year. The second place is however worth mentioning. With 21% of the votes, Motorbase Performance have done a great job.
1 – VX Racing – 41,6%
2 – Motorbase Performance – 21,3%

Best manufacturer 2008 – BTCC
With just two manufacturers in the championship, and the title going to Vauxhall, it’s not a surprise they have won this election. Unfortunately next year SEAT won’t be having a go anymore at this title.
