First pics – Cartridge SEAT Léon
The team Cartridge World Carbon Zero Racing SEAT was shown in its 2009 outfit for the first time today. Driver Adam Jones is thrilled over the team and the car.
“The team is really fired up and the car looks great. Today is actually the first time I’ve met Dan but we’ve got on straight away. Together I think we can become a formidable team,” said Jones to BTCC.net.
Jones team mate is going to be Dan Eaves, who has raced in the BTCC before, who is eager to get back on the grid.
“I can’t wait to get back on the grid. I’ve been away since the end of 2005 but the BTCC has always been where I’ve wanted to be and I’m raring to get back into it.
It’s a new squad but they are all fiercely determined. Hopefully as the season progresses, Adam and I can become a thorn in the sides of the established big hitting teams. One thing is for sure – with our cars’ livery they’ll know we’re coming!” said Eaves.
Eaves is the only driver in the history of BTCC that has won all three races during one race weekend, Thruxton 2005.
Jones made his debut season in the BTCC 2007 and ran a strong effort in the BTCC last year where he ran a privateer SEAT.
