Giovanardi: “It was not enjoyable”
Despite taking his first win of the year and scoring most points of all at Thruxton, Fabrizio Giovanardi did not enjoy the weekend as much as he would have liked.
“Aside from getting the win, which is what I am here for, it has not been as enjoyable as I would have liked,” said Giovanardi.
The team worked hard with the setup of the car and especially with the roll bars.
“We had a roll bar issue in the first race, which made it difficult to know the direction to take on set up changes,” said Giovanardi.
Despite Giovanardi being the fastest of the weekend, taking an superior pole position, the Italian felt that the car was not right.
“The car was definitely not right, but we need to review the data to find the solution,” said Giovanardi.
Giovanardi scored 35 points at Thruxton, moving him up to third in the championship behind Colin Turkington and team mate Matt Neal.
