Chilton hunts podium after first points

Tom Chilton scored the first ever points for the Team Aon prepared Ford Focus during the British Touring Car Championship race at Donington Park.
“I’m really happy for the team. I know how much effort has been put in and it is nice to be able to have some points to show for it,” said Chilton.

Chilton scored two points by taking ninth place behind works Vauxhall driver Matt Neal in the third race.

The first points has made Chilton aiming for a podium finish.

“It might only be ninth place, but there’s been a lot of progress and if we make the same gains between now and the next rounds we could be looking at a podium finish quite soon.

We got the set up spot on for this race and the car did exactly what I wanted it to.”

The next BTCC race takes place at Oulton Park next weekend.
