Plato takes pole at Oulton Park

Jason Plato has taken pole position at Oulton park with a qualifying record lap. Plato did his lap in 1:27.186, with which he was 0.411s quicker than his team mate Mat Jackson, who will be starting alongside Plato on the front row.

Team RAC driver Colin Turkington set the third fastest time, just ahead of SEAT driver Adam Jones.

Reigning champion Fabrizio Giovanardi qualified in sixth, while his team mate and current championship leader Matt Neal was down in tenth.
