James Nash is going to miss Knockhill
James Nash is going to miss the British Touring Car Championship race at Knockhill this weekend. The reason for it is lack of funds.
“I am disappointed to be missing Knockhill, but unfortunately funding is limited so we had to take the tough decision,” said Nash to Autosport.
“We’ve made some big improvements since my first race at Oulton Park and, as Snetterton proved, both myself and the car have the pace to challenge at the top and finish in the points.”
Nash came close, for the second time this year, to win during the last race at Snetterton but was disqualified, for the second time this year.
“I hope my results at Snetterton have shown all the teams and potential partners that I am a serious driver and can deliver on results and speed. My aim for the future is to demonstrate that Snetterton was just the start and not a one off.”
While Nash misses the races at Knockhill, he is determined to get back as soon as possible.
“We are doing absolutely all that we can with RML and our potential sponsors and partners to secure a deal for what I hope will be at least another two events this year.”
“I am determined to be back in the car as soon as possible, taking as many points finishes as I can.”
