Plato wins race two at the Rock

Jason Plato has won the second race at Rockingham ahead of Racing Silverline team mate Mat Jackson.

Championship contenders Fabrizio Giovanardi and Colin Turkington finish third and fourth to tighten the championship up further.

Race one winner Stephen Jelley had a good start, but was soon overtaken by the much lighter Mat Jackson, as Jelley was carrying full success ballast of 45kg.

John George caused the first safety car deployment, and team mate Matt Hamilton the second later in the race, but by then Plato had already managed to put a move on his team mate to take the lead legitimately.

Jelley fell back to just in front of team mate Turkington, and gave his position to his team mate, allowing Turkington to finish in fourth place and restrict the damage to his championship lead.

In a fairly contact free race, we move on to race three where the reverse grid will apply.
