CVR pursued in courts by former driver
Britcar driver Phiroze Bilimoria has announced he is taking legal action against Team CVR, after reportedly being swapped at the last minute for Adam Jones.
The team ran as Cartridgeworld Carbon Zero Racing for the first six rounds of the championship, before withdrawing to focus on 2010.
Bilimoria states he had played a pivotal role in introducing the team to title sponsor Cartridgeworld, but was sidelined for the additional sponsorship Adam Jones brought to the team.
Phiroze Bilimoria has pursued a claim through the civil court, which has ordered Team CVR to pay on the grounds of failure to respond to the action at this juncture.
Team Clyde Valley Racing, after many years of preparation, took to their first BTCC season this year under the banner of Cartridgeworld Carbon Zero Racing, and was running competitively until being sidelined for the final four rounds of the season.
This was because sponsorship difficulties forced them to withdraw, and focus on a return to the BTCC in 2010.
The team has confirmed that they don’t want to address a legal matter in the media.
