Motorbase seek new commercial partner
The Motorbase Performance team has been left to seek a new commercial partner for the 2010 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship season, after the Wrigley Company Ltd decided not to continue it’s Airwaves branded support of the team for the coming season.
The Airwaves sponsorship has been a big success for the Motorbase team in 2009, helping to improve awareness of the team, as well as providing funding to further develop their programme in the BTCC.
In announcing the end of the partnership Motorbase’s Dave Bartrum had nothing but praise for the relationship with Airwaves during the season.
“Airwaves was a brilliant partner for our second season in the BTCC and their support helped lift the awareness of the team to a new level”, said Bartrum.
He also took tome to reflect on what had been a good season for the Motorbase team, and one where they consistently featured at the sharp end of the grid, which in turn repaid the two-way sponsorship commitment.
“We are also very proud of the job we did for them and I would like to thank everyone involved at Airwaves for being such a first class partner”, added Bartrum.
As a result of the move, Motorbase Performance are seeking a new commercial partner for the 2010 season in the BTCC.
Of this Bartrum said “We’ve got a great deal to offer to our partners”, and added, “We are very focused and have a first-class team of people. As well as the BTCC campaign, we will have a major presence in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB”.
