MacDowall test for RML Chevrolet

Alex MacDowall has tested for the British Touring Car Championship Chevrolet team RML at Jerez in Spain.
“I thoroughly enjoyed our two days at Jerez and working with everyone at RML was an absolute pleasure,” said MacDowall to Autosport.

The young Brit has set his sights on the BTCC for next season, preferably with RML.

“I sincerely hope now that a deal can be done that will allow me to drive for them in 2010,” said MacDowall.

The 18-year-old has tested for the BMW team Motorbase Performance earlier and enjoyed having the experience of the both.

“The Lacetti itself is very quick in a straight line, handles well through the corners and gives you a lot of confidence to push hard. Having now tested a rear-wheel drive BMW and the front-wheel drive Lacetti, we have plenty of food for thought for next year,” said MacDowall.
