Giovanardi fastest of all at Thruxton

Despite a very last minute deal with Triple Eight, Fabrizio Giovanardi was fastest of all in the second practice session at Thruxton. The Italian beat Matt Neal, who topped the previous session, with two tenths.

This session was dry compared to the wet first one and it is showing on the tyres. Both Giovanardi and Neal suffered from punctures, as well as Jason Plato, during the session.

Mat Jackson was third fastest in the BMW 320si of Airwaves BMW, 0.344 seconds behind Giovanardi, and Andrew Jordan once again fastest of the two NGTC-powered Vauxhall Vectra’s.

Tom Chilton was fifth fastest ahead of Gordon Shedden and Plato. 1.3 seconds covered top ten.

Stay tuned for qualifying, starting at 16.00 CET.
