O’Neill: “We are a force to be reckoned with”

Paul O’Neill in the Team Sunshine.co.uk-prepared BTC Honda Integra started off the BTCC 2010 season with a strong weekend at Thruxton.
“We’ve shown we are a force to be reckoned with this weekend,” said O’Neill.

The Honda driver finished fourth in the first race, third in the second and sixth in the third.

While O’Neill had high hopes ahead of the premiere but never thought he would end up fourth in the overall standings.

“Everything I said was possible before the weekend has come true, but I didn’t imagine I’d be leaving Thruxton so high up in the standings.

The results in all three races were gained on merit, we weren’t handed anything, and it shows that the car is still more than capable of being in the top six with good preparation – and the team has done a fantastic job with them,” said O’Neill.

O’Neill is looking forward to the next race, Rockingham in three weeks, and hopes to continue on top.

“We’ve been one of the top teams this weekend, the boys have worked to the maximum, and we have to try and build on it at Rockingham,” said O’Neill.
