Plato: “The championship starts at Rockingham”

Jason Plato had a strong start of the championship and trails double race winner Fabrizio Giovanardi with just seven points. But the Chevrolet driver says that for their team the season starts at Rockingham in three weeks.

“We knew that the Vauxhall was going to be very strong and it is very easy to suffer punctures here. For us the championship begins at Rockingham,” said Plato.

Plato finished second in the first race, fourth in the second and third in the third race – scoring 31 points.

“A great day for us, we targeted 30 points and got 31. Solid points which are good for the rest of the year,” said Plato.

At the next race at Rockimgham Plato hopes to step up and score even more points.

“We are going to be on maximum attack at Rockingham,” said Plato.
