Matt Neal penalized for Collard collision

Matt Neal has been given a fine of 290 euro and three penalty points to his license after the collision with Rob Collard during the first race at Thruxton three weeks ago.

Neal was fighting with Collard and Steven Kane for the lead in the third race of the premiere weekend.

Coming in to the final chicane, Neal tried to pass both Kane and Collard in one move, resulting in both Collard and Neal retiring from the race.

The BTCC race officials punished Neal for “causing an avoidable collision”.
