James Walker tries out Triple Eight Vectra
Superleague Formula driver James Walker has become the latest driver to try out the Triple Eight Vauxhall Vectra at an extended test at Rockingham.
Triple Eight, who missed the pre-season testing and media day, have stayed on at Rockingham after a two driver test on Tuesday, where current driver James Nash finished third overall, and 2009 Clio Winter champion Daniel Lloyd seventh in a special one-off test for the former works Vauxhall team.
Today, Liverpool FC Superleague Formula driver and former Formula Renault 3.5 Series competitor James Walker also tested the Vectra at the Northamptonshire circuit.
The 26-year old Jersey driver became the fifth driver to try out the Vectra in either test or race conditions, after former champion Fabrizio Giovanardi and 2009 Renault Clio UK champion Phil Glew drove the car at the opening round at Thruxton.
At present, James Nash is the only driver scheduled to be driving for the team at the next round of the championship at Oulton Park in just over a weeks time.
