Tom Onslow-Cole snatches Oulton Park pole

Despite Tom Chilton leading the practice sessions, team mate Tom Onslow-Cole pulled out the best lap in qualifying to take pole position for the first race at Oulton Park.

As in both practice sessions, Gordon Shedden was again second fastest, and will line-up on the front row with Onslow-Cole.

Jason Plato will start third in the Silverline Chevrolet Cruze.

Practice leader Chilton, qualified fifth – whilst joint championship leader Matt Neal, carrying 36kg of success ballast was seventh, just under half a second down on the pole time.

Andrew Jordan’s engine required changing after the second practice session, and didn’t take part in qualifying. The Pirtek Racing driver will have to start last for the race.
