Tom Chilton tops first Croft practice

Tom Chilton topped the time sheets with a four tenths margin to BMW driver Steven Kane in the first free practice at Croft. Andrew Jordan made it three different manufacturers in the top three in his turbo charged Vauxhall Vectra.

Robert Collard lapped the Croft circuit fourth fastest, seven tenths off Chilton’s time.

Privateer Honda driver Paul O Neil outpaced factory Honda driver Gordon Shedden, fifth and sixth, ahead of championship rivals Jason Plato and Matt Neal in seventh and eight respectively.

James Nash and Mat Jackson rounded off top ten, over a second behind Chilton’s time.
