James Nash to stay at Triple Eight till year end
James Nash has extended his deal with Triple Eight Race Engineering to drive the Vauxhall Vectra until the end of the season.
Nash joined the team at the second race of the season at Rockhingham, after Triple Eight lost their new title sponsor, as UNIQ left after just one race leaving no budget for the team to run scheduled drivers, two time champion Fabrizio Giovanardi and 2009 Renault Clio Cup champion Phil Glew.
James Nash, who had made his BTCC debut in 2009 with Racing Silverline, after a strong season in the SEAT Eurocup in 2008 finishing joint fifth in the standings, initially had a six race deal with Triple Eight which would have ended after the race next week at Snetterton. This has now been extended to cover the full season according to Autosport.
