Lloyd aiming to return for Donington Park

Daniel Lloyd is aiming to return behind the wheel of the Triple Eight Vauxhall Vectra in the British Touring Car Championship at Donington in September.
“Obviously I’d have loved to be able to continue the fantastic start I made to my BTCC career by racing at Snetterton this weekend but we just weren’t able to get the funding together,” said Lloyd.

The 18-year-old Lloyd made his BTCC debut at Croft in June, a race weekend in which he secured two top ten finishes.

While Lloyd is working hard on getting on the grid as early as in the BTCC race at Silverstone at the end of August, he states that he most likely will not be on the grid until the race at Donington.

“We’re working incredibly hard though to get back out as soon as we can. The BTCC is where we want to be and as I think we showed at Croft, it’s where we should be,” said Lloyd.

As a part of his work on securing funds for the BTCC, Lloyd is taking part in a 10 kilometer fitness charity challenge – The Men’s Health “Survival of the Fittest”. Lloyd is going to take part in one of the three venues, the one in Nottingham on the 9th of October.
