Nash hoping to hook together the perfect race weekend

James Nash, now with a deal to race to the end of the season, plans to just focus on putting together the perfect race before the year’s up.

James Nash qualified ninth on the grid, strong enough to fight for good points this weekend, but could have been hoping for more after setting the second fastest time in free practice.

“There’s a good chance (to win), I think we’ve had a good chance everywhere we’ve gone,” said James to TouringCarTimes.

“I’ve either had a bad qualifying, or not such a good race – so if we could bring it all together, there’s every chance; the car’s good enough to do it.”

Triple Eight won the first two races of the season, drafting former champion Fabrizio Giovanardi in for that race, and the only Vauxhall running the original Sodemo power unit, has been strong all season in the hands of James Nash, Daniel Lloyd & Phil Glew.
