Team Aon hit with immediate restrictor change

Team Aon have been ordered to adjust their turbo inlet restrictor to 35mm with immediate effect, after grabbing 1-2 in qualifying at Silverstone.

The maximum turbo boost pressure on the engine will also be reduced to 0.7 bar, along with the restrictor change – which had already been reduced to 36mm at Snetterton, from the 37mm change already imposed earlier in the season at Oulton Park.

The change applies to all alternative fuelled cars, which effectively is the two liquified petroluem gas powered Ford Focus ST’s of Team Aon.

This is in accordance with Championship Regulation 5.3, which states that the technical regulations for alternative fuelled cars may be changed up to a maximum of five times in a season.
