Shedden fastest in Free Practice 2

Gordon Shedden set the fastest time in second practice, ahead of Jason Plato and Tom Onslow-Cole at Donington Park.

Shedden set a best time of 1:11.341 to finish just over two-tenths of a second ahead of Plato.

Tom Onslow-Cole was third fastest in the Team Aon Ford Focus, after struggling in the morning session.

Neal, Chilton and MacDowall were next up, with the three manufacturer/constructor teams occupying the top six positions.

The closest non-works/constructor car was Andrew Jordan, seventh fastest in the Pirtek Racing car, just under six-tenths of a second back.

Rob Collard’s session was limited with a handling problem on his West Surrey Racing BMW 320si, resulting on Rob only setting five laps and ending up last of the runners.

The field for this weekend is now reduced to 21 cars, with Martin Depper’s Forster Motorsport BMW suffering an engine failure in the first session, and with no spare available, will be taking no further part this weekend.
