Speedworks Motorsport confirms NGTC car for 2011

Speedworks Motorsport has become the first team to confirm to run a NGTC specification car in the British Touring Car Championship next year. Tony Hughes has been appointed as driver.
“We hope this is part of a multi-year attack. Tony will be stepping up, but he’ll have guys to race against on the big stage,” said team boss Christian Dick to Autosport.

The team is going to run at least one NGTC Toyota Avensis, with ambitions to expand to two cars.

“And we want to look at a second car for someone who car run near the front,” said Dick.

Speedworks Motorsport claimed the British GT Championship G4 title this year. Their driver, Hughes, won the Chairmans Cup section of Ginetta G50 Cup this year for Speedworks.
