Gow extends deal with the BTCC

Alan Gow has extended his contract to manage the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship for another three years at least, in addition to his new role as president of the FIA Touring Car Commission.

Gow returned to helm the series from 2004, after leading the championship through it’s nineties heyday, and since then has guided the series towards the FIA S2000 regulations, and now away from them with the low cost Next Generation Touring Car platform, which has seen a raft of early commitments for 2011.

The BTCC has already extended its title sponsorship and tyre supply deal with Dunlop for the same period, as well as its broadcast deal with ITV.

Speaking at the series end of year awards last weekend on BTCC.net, Gow said:
“The BTCC is a phenomenal sporting arena to be in and its future has never looked more secure or as exciting. I very much look forward to playing my part in its success over the next three years.”
