Special Tuning Racing complete engine shakedown

Special Tuning Racing have completed the first shakedown test of their new NGTC-specification engine at Rockingham today.

The Lancashire based squad completed a few installation laps at the circuit in the afternoon, at this stage just testing to ensure the engine and electronics systems were functioning correctly, with no focus on distance runs or times.

The 2.0 litre turbo-charged engine was installed in the SEAT León chassis which was ran with the TOCA engine at Silverstone & Knockhill last season. The shakedown was completed by Tom Boardman at the Northamptonshire circuit.

The team plan to perform a full test next week.
