Triple Eight confirms NGTC engine for 2011
Triple Eight Engineering today confirmed that they are going to use the TOCA NGTC engine for this season.
“The Vectra won a few races last season including the first and the last and it remains a competitive proposition. Nevertheless, we’ve got a few tweaks up our sleeve to try,” said Ian Harrison, Chairman of Triple Eight.
The Swindon Racing-prepared 2.0 turbo engines are going to be used in both Vectra’s driven by James Nash and Tony Gilham in the British Touring Car Championship 2011.
“Add to that the switch to the NGTC engine which Swindon have been working hard on over the winter and which now boasts more power, you’ll understand why I’ve got high hopes that James and Tony will be competing at the sharp end in 2011,” said Harrison.
